On this episode of After the Battle Campfire I talk to Tyson Schmidt a retired Navy Cryptological Technician and adaptive sports athlete. We met at the 2018 TeamNavy trials for the 2018 Warrior Games. Tyson went on to win several medals and was picked to represent TeamUSA in the 2018 and 2020 Invictus Games. Due to the current world situation the 2020 Invictus games were postponed.

Today I talk to Ron Rajski he was part of my liaison team but I learn so much more about him. Ron joined the Navy at 17. He went to fight in Desert Storm as a young corpsman where he spent nearly 4 months overseas, walking the “road of death” where thousands of Iraqi military were killed by the coalition air campaign. He went on to serve post 9/11 as a Navy liaison taking care of Navy Wounded Warriors.

Today I spoke with my long term buddy Gary Ondrej. Gary is a retired Navy Chief Builder aka a Seabee. Gary has an interesting story, he joined the Navy at the age of 32 in the mid nineties. He eventually deployed twice to Iraq.

During his time in the Navy he served during the Cold War, Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Kosovo and the Global War on Terror. He talks about the last ship he served on getting bombed, shared his 9/11 story and so much more.

Today I talked with my good friend Roy Aguillon. Roy is a retired Navy Builder Chief, who spend his time as a SeaBee. The SeaBees are the expeditionary branch of the United States Navy, who commonly accompany Marines ashore to build forward operating bases. Roy saw time in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.

On this episode I talk with a Marine who served with me in Iraq. Dan Mason joined the Marine Corps later in life, most of his Drill Instructors were his age when he was in boot camp. Dan deployed to Iraq as a Tow Gunner with 4th Tanks Scout Platoon in late summer of 2007.
